Lakota Crafters Cooperative

Beginning in late Spring of 2006 at the 555 Whiteclay facility, the Lakota Crafters Cooperative will feature both a small retail sales outlet for hand crafted items as well as a quality workspace. Initially, 8-12 Lakota crafters will work a flex-time schedule; participate in Christian motivational classes; serve volunteer time and mentor promising young artists and crafters. Beading, quilting, quill-work, painting, sculpting and other arts and crafts will be developed.

Providing Lakota artists and crafters a safe, encouraging work atmosphere along with opportunities to earn a life-enhancing wage and grow in Christian character and faith.
